We booked a trip on Isabella II on Oct 15th through our company while staying in Punta Mita and had a great time. this was our first deep sea fishing trip. Captain Andres and 1st mate Mario were very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. We were paired with another couple from our group and each couple caught a sailfish that were a blast to catch. We also caught around 15 skip jacks and Mario made a great ceviche for us to enjoy.I would definitely recommend Mike's for a great trip and look forward to booking again next time we travel to PV.

Everything about this fishing trip was first class. Went on the 38ft Isabella 2. Mike, the owner was at the dock at 5:45 to greet us as we arrived. Andres the Captain and Mariano the deck hand were outstanding. Spoke English and did everything possible to ensure we had a good time. There were four of us, me, wife, and two sisters, all senior citizens. We caught 3 huge dorado and big sailfish. At our request ,Mike had provided food and refreshments. After plenty of picture taking, Mariano expertly filleted our fish which we took to a local restaurant and ate for dinner. We have fished all over Mexico and Alaska and this is one of our very best experiences.

I went on a shared 8 hour trip with 5 other people. We drew numbers for what order we would fish. On the way out we caught 10-12 small(1-2lbs) for bait. Everyone caught some. We than rigged for larger fish and caught the first sailfish and just as we got it in a second one struck. We were planning on releasing the second one but it was hooked in the gills so we had to keep it. When we were fighting the first fish the crew suggested we swap out every 5 minutes so everyone would get to fight the fish.

We booked an Eight (8) hour shared trip with Mike's and the vessel we were on was Karina II. After departing we set out for open water with a 1.5 hour ride west towards Islas Marietas. Just before the Marietas we hooked a double and managed to catch both which were 30 pound Crevalles (Yellow Tail). We drew numbers to see who went first and my wife and I chose 1 & 2. I gave up my #1 to let the young boy who went with his dad go first. (Love to see the little guys get into fishing.) Then the fishing slowed and we caught a few Bonitos. After a a while of trolling we actually had three (3) Sailfish jump at our lines but to no avail the fish moved on. Christian mentioned they might not bite for another 5-7 days. Unfortunately that was the end of our "catching" as my wife likes to call it. I understand that's the way it goes, It's fishing. I was disappointed that we did not catch any Mahi-Mahi but maybe another day. Captain Luis was very knowledgeable and Christian made some cheviche which was very good. Jessie the "rookie" did a fine job learning the ropes.

I really wish I could remember the names of the crew, they were excellent! We caught lots of skip jack, yellow tuna and Spanish mackerel. Crew did a fantastic job! I do recommend taking a snack as the provided lunch is only a sandwich
